Gibsons BC - Sunshine Coast Credit Union (SCCU) unveiled a new public website on October 3rd, 2019, the fourth Canadian credit union to build and launch a site on Central 1’s Forge Digital Banking Platform.
“We applaud Central 1 for delivering this best in class platform to the system. As one of the Forge champions, we’ve been working alongside Central 1 to develop and enhance the tools we’ll all be able to leverage when creating our unique digital presence,” said Shelley McDade, CEO of Sunshine Coast Credit Union. “Our top strategic priority in selecting Central 1’s Forge solution as our digital foundation was completely focused on choosing an open-technology platform that can easily adapt to our members’ future digital needs.”
Sunshine Coast is also working alongside Back Office Collaborative (BOC) credit unions, supporting the creation of new, innovative widgets that will be shared with the system. Through the efforts of G&F Financial Group, the BOC recently became the first third party in Canada to contribute a new technology development to the Forge Community, demonstrating a commitment to building on the momentum Forge is seeing across the system.
“The Forge Platform is about creating exceptional digital banking experiences for credit union members, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Sunshine Coast Credit Union to make this happen,” says Mark Blucher, President and CEO of Central 1. “Forge will enable Sunshine Coast to continue be on the forefront in an ever-evolving industry.”
“The long-term objectives of the new site include building member financial health, establishing a connection with those who may be considering SCCU, and reinforcing our differentiation,” commented Jodi Fichtner, VP Marketing. “By visiting the site, users will understand that we’re here to help maximize their financial confidence and return, while at the same time, offering ways to create positive social impact in their world.”
The public website is the first technology to be launched by Sunshine Coast Credit Union, which will be followed by the Forge-fueled mobile app and online banking.
